Again, I know nothing of the source flavor. But, to suggest that the entire scope of a flavor is restricted to knowing specific characters? Uhm. Have you played mafia before? Being familiar with the general universe we are existing in could very easily offer a likely explanation for someone mysteriously dying.

I'm not at all sure why you'd assume that a death must by definition be strictly associated with specific characters without any possible chance of being explained generally.

Junko was not actually Junko (who was the one controlling monobear at the time), but was actually a mystery student who was aligned with Junko and the forces of despair. She did not know she was going to be betrayed and killed, this allowing Junko to fake her own death.

But for that to be apt then Chris would have to have been "in on it" with the host and then betrayed. Chris' posted role and flavor does not match this.

But there is at least Danganronpa precedence for someone being killed off by the "host".

Yeah idk. If Harris is not going to participate anymore he should be replaced.

And if it's related to Chris' outburst then idk. Personally I'm going to wait until the post game to be critical of the setup. At that point I'll be more than willing to be outraged on his behalf if the situation warrants. Until then I'll just try my best.

With the exception of the first student being killed by monobear (as I detailed above) every other killing is student vs student. The general concept being that you will be allowed to leave if you commit a murder and get away with it. After a murder occurs there are 72 hours of evidence gathering followed by a trial. If the culprit is caught they are "punished"(killed). If anyone but the culprit is determined to be responsible then they get away with it and everyone else is "punished" instead.

That's the gist.

I still don't like how Harris handled the pressure I was putting on him, but we'll see how that lines up with Scare's play. The only positive thing I had to say about Harris is the fact that he didn't run away rather than answer my questions. But that doesn't change the fact that his answers were generally awful. But it could have been the non alignment indicative brand of awful :/

I'm still not crazy about JB and Stuart voting on me the way they did. They both referenced the fact that I guess it was announced that we would be getting role/flavor reveals on death, but that still doesn't make me scum. It's still quite the opposite.

Consider:

Chris said "This is how my role works. I target someone, and if they are scum, I die. Period."

Chris appeared to target me.

Chris did not die that very minute, so from scum's perspective he had confirmed me town.

As far as scum (or anyone) knows at this point, Chris' role works exactly as he described. He targets someone during the day. That person either gets mod confirmed, or he dies. And as far as anyone knows, if chris died it would say something to that effect in the reveal.

Now if I were scum, there would be NO reason to day-assassinate-whatever chris, because the flip would REVEAL that either I would be mod confirmed town, or he would die. And yeah it took 90 minutes, but chris still visibly died before I was visibly mod confirmed.

Now with the benefit of hindsight and his flip we know that chris did not ACTUALLY target me. But before his flip no one had any reason to doubt that ##Book was the correct format for using his ability. And no one had any reason to doubt that it's effect would resolve during the day.

So it's pretty crystal fucking clear that I must be town. Because scum has NO reason to off Chris in that position if I'm also scum. However they have the potential to set up the easiest mislynch of me as town, which is what they expected would happen if chris' flip revealed that the correct command was ##book and that it resolved itself during the day.

There is literally no other way to look at it, so JB and Stu's votes are pretty seriously awful.

It cant be Chris' power activating either, based on that flip. So FD is technically in the clear.

FD is not confirmed Town. If FD is scum, they killed Chris "knowing" he was lying about gambler, which means he would flip something else and it would not incriminate FD. However, on the other side of things scum may have been trying to frame FD and forgotten the rules, or plain needed to nuke Chris. I don't think the former is very likely, as multiple others have brought the flip mechanics up and I know I remember it which means more probably do. That leaves us with the latter, which is basically the reason to kill Chris if FD is scum as well. Would probably lean Town though, he's been useful so far and has generally made decent points (excluding those against Pirate who I feel like I may have misread anyway since he hinted at shooting Chris?)

I feel like I suck at reading Han, plus I've never seen him as anything bar town. I'm not really getting anything from him here, but I was expecting him to blow up a little more at DYL. Don't think this is a tell for Han. I feel like Han's read on DYL is biased by the fact he is calling him scum for a reason he cannot control. DYL is less Death and more Sajo now, but I lean slightly towards town for the wrong reasons. The one thing that bugs me is that he basically calls Han out for his uncontextualised reads which are very similar to my uncontextualised reads from when I replaced in. He didn't so much as comment on mine, so it seems like he's basically just digging into Han specifically for a literal null tell, as others have explained. Town points for Neab, by the way, for his thoughts on that exchange.

Zyx needs to play the game or get someone else to do it for em. No shame in joining a game and leaving if you realise it isn't for you.

Also, everyone remember Chris' reads. His early D1 reads will probably be more accurate than your reads D5, and he is confirmed Town to boot. That means no lynching Puns today.

I don't like Pirate's replace either, Death. He has only replaced out as scum so far. Not once as Town. I feel like I may have underestimated him again. Him claiming gunslinger does not make me feel better about Chris dying.

Sadly FD you are not confirmed town right now. I believe you are town just from some of the things,they could of killed chris for a multitude of reasons if they did kill chris. Personally chris was dialed in and wanting to play so even if they were ok with confirming you killing chris was probably the priority.

DYL I do not want to spend my time defending han here when he is more of a null read right now, however it feels like the way you went about last night hurt your case more than it helped. I do see where you mention his read on harris and his previous post not fitting properly together. However if that was going to be the main scum points it was lost in the transition as you hammered on han about his time away from game. I feel like Han answered questions asked to him while he was here but he did mostly argue with you. I do not necessarily believe what you posted makes him scum right now though. Hopefully he will be around more today, so will try to get a conclusion on that and hopefully you can grill him about what you care about at this point. I will agree with you that him saying hey page three i was reading you as town and then after the vote your suspicion on harris makes me think scum is a bit strange on a reread and could be onto something.
