What is Game of the Month Club?
Game of the Month is a community project open to all B8ers where users share, discover, play and/or discuss a select few games every month. The games featured each month are chosen by YOU the users (and Lady Luck)

The Basics
- Each month will feature three games that were chosen via a random drawing from a pool of games that users nominated
- For each game you beat, you get a cool point on our just-for-fun standings as well as a nomination for next month's randomized drawing
- In order to receive the point and nomination, you must beat said game within the calendar month
- If you beat one of the current month's games in the previous month, you can apply for a "recently beaten waiver," but you will only receive a point and no nomination should you do so
- Drawing for next month's games is usually around a week before the end of the month
- If you periodically keep us posted on your progress and/or talk about different aspects of the games, then everyone will think you are super awesome!

Nomination Rules
- You get one nomination automatically each month
- You receive additional nominations each month for every chosen game that you beat
- Each game you nominate has to be unique from all other nominations and cannot include a game that has already been selected for GotM
- Each game must be a standalone game that can be acquired and played on its own (aka cannot be DLC/expansion that requires the base game)
- Nominations only carry over if you beat a chosen game after the drawing for next month's games but before the end of the month

Already rebought West of Loathing on Switch, looking forward to playing it again.

Might give BG&E another shot. I remember enjoying what I played of it, before getting hit by a game breaking glitch. Hopefully that was fixed in the PS3 version. I'll probably play a bit of Little Nemo, but I never particularly liked that game.

I decided to add a sheet to the spreadsheet to list all the games done so far in alphabetical order (each letter has its own column too).

I might rework it so that things are closer together, but it should be easier to make sure that a potential nomination hasn't been done before (if you do things manually) or just want to view GotM's history in a more pleasant arrangement.

The fact that nobody has corrected me suggests that I was correct in my initial findings, but is Little Nemo really only available for the NES? If it was like a $5 eShop title, I would consider giving it a shot, but I don't feel like buying an NES cartridge.

I'm pretty sure, yeah. It's a licensed game based off a... half-anime? Rereleasing it would probably be difficult.

Beyond Good and Evil is one of those games that's been buried in my backlog. That would be the only one I might play this month.

Put some time into West of Loathing. Playing a Cow Puncher with Susie as my pardner. I cleared out pretty much everything I could find on the east side of the map, and cleared away the rocks. Enjoying it a lot.

ArkOfTurus has beaten West of Loathing

I'm not done playing the game yet, but I saw The Final Cutscene, so I suppose it's beaten. The game's difficulty was a bit of a problem, in that literally everything died in one attack once I unlocked the triple punch, and that didn't take very long. I never even got the fourth hit that I could have unlocked by leveling it! I didn't end up fighting the final boss, maybe he could have taken an attack. Guess I should have played on hard? I enjoyed the writing as much as I did Kingdom of Loathing, though, and that's a very good thing.

Such a lively month thus far. After being delayed due to issues, I will definitely start BG&E tonight.

I beat Little Nemo last night. It's definitely a solid NES-era Capcom game with great music, but it does have some weird stuff to it. For a game that says it's focused on finding keys to get through levels, there are a handful of levels where the keys are completely an afterthought. Also, I forgot about that final level gauntlet that's almost like a second game. Still, a pretty fun game.

I say that I won't be going for 100% completion in BG&E, but I have gone for it every time. It may be due in part that the first time I went through the game, I did not know there was a point of no-return, and I finished the game one pearl shy of 100%.

Went in pretty blind and I'm enjoying myself. The setting and plot are really interesting. I'm also a fan of the camera. I've gotten quite a few photos of creatures while they are attacking Pey'j.

Yeah, normally I don't give a shit about games with a camera function/sidequest, but I always took a liking to BG&E's. Of course, it helps that I really like the game's flora and fauna and capturing their images provides truly helpful rewards.

Yeah, you can really rake in the credits from the Science Center. Also once I got to town I took quite a few stalker-like photos of random animal-people.

Gameking has beaten God of War II and West of Loathing.

Had a good time playing both of these games. Had never heard of West of Loathing before, so I'm glad it got nominated. Wouldn't have played it otherwise. I'll have my noms up soon.

KCF has beaten Beyond Good & Evil

I own this game for five systems, and I have now beaten it six times, which I would have to imagine is more than any non-Super Mario game, Maybe its boss fights aren't the greatest, but it is outstanding in pretty much every other aspect of the game.

For my final nom, I am doing Battleblock Theater. Doing another Behemoth game last December (Castle Crashers) provided a good time with MSG, Wickle, Lolo, and myself, so maybe we can go 2 for 2?
