Yeah... 2 does have a tiny recap but it's worthless. It's pretty much just "then they went to this funky looking castle." Anyway, it's not bad as long as you use your more frustrating cards early. Then when.you're on the top floor, you can just breeze through. I almost ragequit on the top floor when the only card I could use was that one that elevates all the enemies' card values. It feels way too boring and repetitive, the worlds feel emptier than any of the other games I mentioned because they needed to make more space in the maps for the flowmotion stuff, they added that stupid pokemon dream eater thing for no reason, and the story was really lame.
