a lot less terrifying than it used to be at least True but thinking about it in the context of Freddie Mercury in the 80's and 90's. Or even the drug users of the 70's who were dying from "Junkie Pneumonia" or Robert Rayford or the Carr family. Although the people in the 80's and 0's probably had it worse. They knew what they were dying from, but with that came the public hysteria around it. --- I am awesome and so are you. Lenny gone but not forgotten. - 12/10/2015 ... Copied to Clipboard!

a lot less terrifying than it used to be at least When it wasn't clearly understood how it was transmitted, and all people were really aware of was that there were zero chances of survival if you were infected, so no one wanted to take any chances with exposure -- I remember reading a news report that some paramedics refused to touch or even approach people suspected of having AIDS. It's hard for anyone who wasn't around at the time to imagine the climate of fear in the early days. --- texty bastard ... Copied to Clipboard!
