Yeah, I know exactly the part you're talking about. The fact that those whales respawn if you even move the screen a quarter of an inch is the worst.

Pretty sure Chill Penguin's weapon instantly freezes them though, so that's probably your best bet, if you haven't gotten past it already.

I ended up deciding that jumping to the right of it and spam shooting it until it died was worth the contact damage

(I'm also now playing on this version's easy mode because I decided that replaying stages ten times wasn't worth the frustration at this point in my life...!)

I must have a blind spot here. I don't understand what's appealing about Wario at all (even compared to the Hand, whom I kind of like!)

Sigma stage 1 beated, but down to 1 life. Is there a good place to farm them? (Also, if I go to a regular stage will I maintain my Sigma progress??)

You keep your Sigma progress through game overs and going to other stages.

I don't know how the remakes or collections of whatever work though so I don't know if they keep progress through turning the game off.

Honestly, the best place to farm lives (and E-Tank energy) is right before the final boss fight, but if you're playing the Switch version (I assume you are), you can restart on the last Sigma Stage you died on.

And going elsewhere won't force you to restart from the beginning either.

I think this is more a case of Wario being less bad than his competition. I don't think he's particularly popular as far as Nintendo characters go.

Nah, Wario is pretty much a middle of the road Nintendo character (although honestly as far as Mario characters go, he's probably got the most personality outside of RPG Bowser or Luigi). He's all right. I definitely voted for him over a glove, if nothing else.

You can farm lives on Armored Armadillo's stage. That fat bat early on always drops a life when killed, so you can just restart the stage to fill up fairly quickly. I think that's the best way, though I haven't farmed for lives in a while.

The problem is that in this particular case having no personality at all is better than what we got.

I thought Aqua looked better than KOS-MOS in r1, though I guess it's hard to say since I don't really know how strong either of their opponents are.

I think Ellie is probably pretty okay, strength-wise. Joel looked fine against Ike, too.

I can't think of Aqua as being that good after how bad Riku looked in round 1 since it's hard to imagine she's stronger than he is. If Bayonetta is just a beast now (which I suppose is possible), that would be a different story, but I still like KOS-MOS.

Well I will say that I believe Ellie is substantially weaker than Joel and also that Bayonetta is stronger than people are giving her credit for.

Eh, I'd be kind of surprised if Ellie were that much weaker than Joel. I also don't think that highly of Riku to begin with. He hasn't looked that good in a contest match since the year KH2 came out.

I would be worried about KOS-MOS after Round 1 if every non-Aqua KH performance wasn't pretty lousy.

So if you just guess that Quiet is really, really terrible then I feel good about KOS-MOS.

I'll feel better after Sora loses to Red though.

I don't put much stock into that regardless because Sora doesn't score big blowouts anyway. He's probably one of the more anti-voted characters in the contest, and that stands out more when you're facing bad ones than good ones.

Also, random observation completely unrelated to the events of this episode other than the fact that he was in it: Connie is definitely the "most surprised he's still alive" character to me. Not to say I don't like him (because I do), but he didn't seem like the kind of character who'd still be around at this point.

Yeah, that stone-faced closeup was amazing (and it also made her look like the spitting image of Levi), but yeah, she's almost like a nagging mother whenever she's around Eren now.

Yeah, the music won't be as good as MMX1 ever again, sadly.

Also, I think it's okay if you miss an X Hunter because the extra boss fight you get as a result is really cool.
