I like how dumb and situational stands are. the situations that araki comes up with to maximize otherwise completely useless abilites are fun. Im not watching for realism. its anime. my suspension of disbelief will never come easier.

I htink half the fun were these big bulky guys actually physically breaking each others limbs and shit mid fight lol.

That said, I found Part 5 (with Josuke/morioh) to be quite fun. The whole egypt thing in part 3 dragged on so badly and just had this big hulking dudes standing around while their pokemon did the fighting. No fun in that.

The main stand out ep to me from that season was the Gambling one. Was choking with laughter

Is it worth waiting for the anime weekly or should I move on to the manga now? What chapter does the Gang-Star stuff start?

The problem with Hamon is that it's basically a less cool Hokuto Shinken ripoff. I find Stands far more interesting. Though, admittedly, most of the ones in part 3 are basic and boring.

Honestly I keep waiting for the series to pick up but it's still the same boring pet battle shit. Hamon was better than this, much better.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. That said, the next couple of parts aren't too bad either.

Yeah, Araki is a businessman as well. The reason for the super buff macho men art style was because that was the trend for Shonen manga's then. His art style changes as people's interest change, but yet he always has the most unique art style compared to other typical shonen mangaka's, especially to this day.
