Why is this going to take two years to come out?

Why did I feel like I was watching something from 1998?

You know I'm willing to give this a shot if and only if they come out with a remastered SwordQuest that includes AirWorld.

I have been on an Electric Playground/Reviews on the Run nostalgia kick for the better part of a year, and as a result have followed Tommy's career at Intellivision, and his pitch for the console, closely. At first, I expected it to just be an embarrassing disaster, but you would be hard-pressed to find someone as genuinely enthusiastic about the Amico as I am right now. Other than getting scrapped and never seeing the light of day (a distinct possibility, I fear), it cannot disappoint, though it almost certainly will fail.

Novelty value and exclusivity contribute so much to my appreciation of games these days, and I find myself increasingly fixated on the aesthetics of older, ephemeral licensed software. Even recognizing how amusingly naive Tallarico is (their claims about the chipset have to be puffery), I never expected to hear a company so boldly proclaim to not want to invite any of the bloat, greed, and user-generated garbage that plagues practically every digital storefront. If 3-4 years from now I'd still be able to turn this on and play some silly odes to obscure retro titles and not be bombarded with nonsense, that'd be the kind of kitsch factor that's easily worth the price of admission.

Q: What's the difference between an actor and a baker?
A: An actor has roles, a baker has rolls. [I'm Abomstar.]
