Also, came across some guy camping alone. Started talking to him and he brought up this widow he found and how he wanted to make her his wife. I spooked him and he fled on his horse, then I noticed his tent had a bunch of developed photographs hanging up of naked women.

The amount of random shit that can happen due to euphoria engine, the level of detail, and the pre-programmed random stranger encounters is insane.

I met a widow stuck under her horse that died on her when she was riding. Helped her then offered her a ride into town. Got jumped by odriscolls on the way, and she took all the initial rounds meant for me as they jumped out of the woods in front of me on horseback. She just sort of slowly fell off the horse, lifeless. Was just kind of like... Well fuck.... But thanks.

If you mess up, reload a previous save. Don't keep reloading the attempted save. Reload a save from before. Helps to save before trying the first time, then try. That's basically your reset button

That horse has to be tamed fyi. Arabian something rather. It's on the map and it's the best horse in the game.

Yeah you'd think being the best horse it'd be hard to tame, nope. Just sprinted up on him with my pre order warhorse, lassoed him, jumped off and tamed him, transferred saddle over and bam. The war horse automatically goes into the stable even though it's still on the map there for the time being.

Did you put the code that came with base game in? If I recall correctly it was at the stables when I went there. It isnt anything special though I make sure I look at all the horses around for more good ones. The bounty is worth some of these horses.

I subsequent killed the shit out of it falling off the side of a small cliff... but reloaded haha.
Be sure to buy the covered stirrups and to always keep a backup horse.

They can run off unbonded. But it takes all of five minutes riding to get to level one binding. And I've had covered stirrups since the beginning lol

I just did the gold glitch and you can speed up that process by purchasing the fast travel st the camp and riding there and fast traveling to emerald ranch. You still have to ride the train back but you probably save five minutes on the trip there

I posted this in another topic (that got no replies!), but I'm still pretty amazed at how things happen so dynamically

*very, very small spoiler*

For example, I was doing my first bounty hunt and tracked a guy who made camp inside a gorge. He was on a cliffside and fell off. I wasn't able to pull him up so he fell into the river below. I took his horse and raced down the river ahead of him. I tried to go into the river a little bit so I could have a better shot of roping him in, but the horse ended up bucking me off and I flipped into the rapids. At that point I thought I'd just have to restart the mission, but Arthur was still alive being thrown everywhere under the water. My life and stamina were right at 0 so I thought that would be it, but he found a rock and was able to pull himself up, rest a sec, and then swim to shore. The guy I was chasing washed up ahead of me and still tried to make a run for it once on land. That's where I finally got him.

I was honestly kind of blown away by that. In almost any other game it would have been a game over, but here you adapted to what was happening and had an experience not everyone else would have. Excited to see what other things like that await in this game

Also, random pro tip.

If you wanna grow your beard and hair quick. When you're done playing for the night, Buy three hair tonics at the general store, drink all three, they stack, then pause and put it in rest mode.

When you play next, do a mission.

I went from a short hair cut to a mountain man in one mission after doing it.

Seems hair growth is tied to time elapsed, not in game days. So leaving it paused still counts as the clock ticking, then doing a mission triggers it to appear.

It's weird but it works.

Yes indeed. It's weaker than the ones you can buy in Chapter 4, but only by 1 base starting stat. I just max bonded it, it's fucking magnificent. Has 8 stamina and 8 health at max, with top acceleration and speed. I named her Sarah, she's my buddy. I protect her.

Also, taming that horse was a fun, memorable experience for me. When I found her in the snow by the lake, she was being attacked by two wolves. I killed them with my rifle, she took off. I followed her tracks in the snow and got off my horse a distance away enough not to scare her. Slowly approached her, keeping her calm, she took off, followed her, calmed her and finally got close enough to pat her and get on her back and break her.

Also pay attention, people know that horse is special, random civilians will comment on it sometimes.

And be warned, that attention also makes it a target of horse thieves so be ready to shoot all the time.
