For the last few months I've been slowly starting my learning of Japanese language

I just finished Three Leaves, Three Colors in my continuing quest to watch Funimation stuff on Crunchyroll before it disappears. For a CGDCT anime, it wasn't bad, but the characters were all oddly weak. Like, the main girl was a former rich girl and everyone acts like she's some haughty princess. Only she's... not? She was always sweet and friendly, so whenever they were like 'lol you're so arrogant' the joke fell flat. Same with the supposedly black-hearted class rep. They constantly acted like she hosted a demon, but she was just kind of low-key sweet and nice too? I will give them credit for at least making the hungry girl a hungry girl but why did they only manage that with the boring character trait? The only side character who was any good was the former maid, too. This was such a weak cast overall that none of the situations or jokes ever managed to land.

Still, the animation was shockingly impressive at certain points. I'm also still glad that I watched this, mostly because it'll be a sad day when I run out of CGDCT shows so I needed to see this one while it's still available!

Them having made Slow Start too actually makes a lot of sense, it had impressive animation too. I didn't love that anime either but at least the characters there portrayed their stated character traits.

--This was a good arc overall.

--Last Order still sucks.

--Accelerator is great, and the Railgun anime did a really poor job with his character.

Well now that (what I assume is) the main party is together we have a good camaraderie going. Poor lizard guy having never had cheese before.That song they played when they started their assault and walked out of the bushes was badass.

Readed Yuricam. This was mostly a fairly fun series. If you don't know the premise, it's about a straight girl who goes to an all girls' college, who was the power to seduce any woman but all men are revolted by her. She used to be part of a wealthy family, but her dad's business failed and the family went into a massive debt so she has to leech off other girls to get by (especially since her standards are ultra high). Basically she goes around being a total piece of shit and sleeping with tons of girls and trying not to have it backfire on her (it backfires on her a lot). This stuff is all quite enjoyable IMO, though it can get a bit repetitive at times (especially when the author overuses certain poses and lines). Later on, it starts having arcs, which is mostly a good thing, with a couple exceptions. The series usually isn't as good when it's focusing on guys, so the rare arcs that do that kinda suck (the translation for the series stopped in the middle of one of these arcs, unsurprisingly). The best arc is the second last one, where the MC is training as a teacher for school. She has to do her best not to sleep with any of the students because that would be a crime, and she gets up to all sorts of crazy antics. There's lots of creativity and fun times here. The ending of the series has kind of a lame "filler final episode of a comedy anime where it seems like things will change but nothing actually does" feel to it for whatever reason, but it wasn't horrible. I've wanted to read this for a while, so I'm glad I finally checked it out at least.

Well, I'm glad to see that Bunny Girl being amazing wasn't a one-arc fluke. This new arc also seems tailor-made for me. Episode four spoilers I love day repeating time travel plots, even if it looks like that aspect of it may be over already? I hope it repeats certain points a few more times. Mai showing up at the end there hopefully also shows that she's not going to be a moron about an obvious misunderstanding for the whole arc. I was worried about that.

I'm about seven episodes into Assassination Classroom and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me, do the characters ever become interesting? The teachers are all okay but the students all feel so bland (with Karma being the notable exception). Nagisa is the main character and I swear the only thing I know about him is that he takes notes. I can't even remember the green-haired girl's name.

Normally I'd just keep watching because it isn't bad even with this issue, but I'm not sure I want to spend forty episodes on the Crunchy/Funimation time limit finishing this series when I could watch four seasons of other stuff instead.

As a whole the class is mostly just an ensemble.

Nagisa does grow into the main character role though, and the main girl gets some big stuff much later.

Assassination Classroom is hilarious. And you do get to know a lot of the characters. It does go in depth on a few of them, but because there's a lot, not all of them. But you get enough on everyone to care, I thought at least.

There are some people who just hate all cgi in anime, but I don't think most take such an extreme stance, and even then I feel like I don't see this complaint about idol anime as much.
