I live in Canada, and am hence still under the rule of the monarch (technically). This doesn't offend me if a black Canadian says it.

People from the USA, however? Get the fuck outta my face with that bullshit. You fought a war to distance yourself from the monarch and now you wanna up and appropriate our culture? Not on my watch sonny jim! Not on my watch.
