I realize it cannot be broken as much as FF8, but what I plan to do is grind for limit breaks in the mythril mines since you can get the kill quota since most enemy groups are 4-5 enemies routinely.
Gonna over level by grinding at that one part where you go back to junon and fight those robot things in that tunnel. Ive done that before. Before I can do either of those things though I just plan on doing regular leveling but more of it. Anything im missing early on? ... Copied to Clipboard!

yeah. for certain limit breaks you need to use the previous one X times, but for others you need to kill a certain number of enemies.

There's a kill quota? So you know how most characters have two limits per level? For example... Cloud 1-1: Braver 1-2 Cross Slash 2-1: Blade Beam 2-2: Climhazzard 3-1: Meteorain 3-2: Finishing Touch 4-1: Omnislash So in most cases, to get to the 2nd limit of a level (such as Cross Slash), you just need to use the first limit break from that level (Braver) a certain number of times to unlock it. However, to unlock the next limit level (Blade Beam), you need to kill a certain number of enemies with that specific character. If on Ps4 theres an instant limit toggle that would shorten your grind for that note. It was supposedly a port from pc so i imagine that would have it as well but cant say personally.
Im not too knowledgable on VII sadly but early limits alone should make the game cake really. Meteorain, Doom of the living, Ungarmax...what would survive? --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

nah man. I dont mind cheating to some degree but for a game like this i have to do it all "by hand" if you know what I mean.
I am on steam PC version. I cant seem to find it now but I im pretty sure it has those cheats on it, including one where you can turn your characters into 9999 lvl 99 badasses instantly. Ive heard they did this for people who just want the story but dont want to play the game. fucking weak. ... Copied to Clipboard!

explain The Death Penalty weapon gains an attack point for every X monsters it kills... this is uncapped so after a few hours of grinding with it you'll be doing 9999 damage every shot.... and after like a day of grinding you'll start doing so much damage that you can even OHKO Ruby Weapon (Overflow damage is an autokill) --- "Salt cures Everything!" The problem with grinding in FF7 is it only gives you more HP and MP and nothing else. Your stats never change. Which does make the game "easier" because more HP means less likely to die but it's nowhere near the level of kick-assery you can achieve in FF8.
The only way you're gonna actually get stronger and "break" the game is by leveling up materias to get stronger spells, unlock all your limit breaks and upgrading your equipment which you can't exactly do "earlier" than you're supposed to. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Ah, if you want to grind for limits, use the fury status via hypers to speed up the process.
Maxing an All materia and selling it will set you up for most of the game in terms of finances. You can just stack passive counter materia on characters to make them counter over and over and over again. Oh, one thing you can do is run from battles a whole bunch in order to make it so one of the enemy skill spells will hit your character with just the right amount to set their HP to 7777. --- Hi ... Another good way to quickly gain limits is to take advantage of Aeris 2-2 limit, Fury Brand. It maxes out her allies limit meters, so you can use her allies limits, then use Fury Brand and have another two limits. Really speeds things up.
