remember when she traded lil her coloring book for a reptar space helmet
and traded phil his reptar doll for crayons

so that lil would give him a reptar space helmet for a doll he no longer has
and phil would give lil crayon for a coloring book she no longer has

god she was a delightful little bitch

Eeek. Asuka is the way she is because of parental abandonment and deep trauma leading her to desperately seek approval from everyone but especially parental figures. Asuka is psychologically scarred, and would probably be in therapy if that universe had any justice.

Angelica's parents kind of give her all the attention she wants, and as a result she grows up feeling entitled to everything. But I don't think that's such a big deal because Angelica is like eight, not fifteen. Also, Angelica's parents are socially mobile go-getter types who clearly believe you have to be assertive to get what you want. Her parents learn to balance some of that, but they're adult and Angelica isn't even ten yet. So even if Angelica weren't kind of spoiled rotten, it's only natural we'd see a bit of selfishness there. Go easy on her.

LOL

I watched this episode last year before Christmas. I was dying laughing at the Angelica parts. Such a hilarious character.

Angelica could talk to both the babies and the adults. That never made much sense to me, but it certainly gave the writers more room to be creative which was good.

That's because she was the only character.

I hate that theory.

It's supposed to be that she's still young enough she can understand them... But she's speaking fluid sentences when she talks with adults and she was like 4 nearly all of the series. So.

I don't get it...?

It's that "Angelica imagined the other kids" theory.

IIRC it was she imagined Tommy out of guilt from seeing Stu laboring away on the perfect toy. Phil and lil were a miscarriage but Angelica need found out if they were supposed to be a boy or girl so she imagined both. Chuckie and his mom died in childbirth or something? It's weird.

So then she also imagined the adults doing all that stuff with the kids and reading parenting books and all that? Even when she wasn't visiting and was just sitting at her house, she was imagining Stu and Deedee raising a child and all that? I don't know if I care for that theory.

Yeah, it's a bogus theory. I actually forgot how dark it was until gunplagirl reminded me of what the theory actually consisted of. I only remembered it as Angelica imagining the kids, not the...deaths and other things.

I mean when they were reading stuff to all of them she was the only one. Otherwise, she was usually not even in the room and came in afterwards to torment them.

like most secretly dark theories it works for a few episodes

it could be that the character's imagination runs wild though and has a life of its own

like maybe there will be a final episode of all grown up where everything disappears and angelica is in a straight jacket rocking back and forth

Pretty sure Angelica is 3.

And yeah shes the bad guy of the show a lot of the time but shes, again, 3 years old so she obviously hasnt matured personality wise yet. She gets showered with toys her parents never say no to her, partly because her mother is never around and when she is, shes usually on the phone with Jonathan. She is capable of learning lessons though and I remember her being a bit better when the babies grow up

I feel like this could work with most shows out there.

Like, Buffy even had an episode dedicated to this possibility, with the ending left ambiguous as to whether she was really a vampire slayer in a supernatural universe or a hospital patient who lost the last bit of sanity she had left. The whole episode was like a pseudo-canonized dark fan theory.
