Cuts out the best part, where they all start chatting again like nothing happened

Hysterical scene, too good of a show to pick just one singular best moment but that would be in my top 10 for sure

LOL honestly the whole zoo break in is hilarious.

Grandma driving car: "Take this, number nine. It's our GEAR."

*hands Arnold in the passenger seat a bag of yarn*

Arnold looking concerned in passenger seat: "grandma... do you have a drivers license?"

*cuts to the car swerving violently over the hills while grandma cackles maniacally*

If it's not Helga on the Couch and that major breakthrough then it would be Helga getting Olga's fiance to leave. Yeah, Helga is terrible at times but she did the right thing when it really counted and she was always modest about it and tried to avoid getting credit.

I actually liked Helga for the most part. She was actually pretty smart, she was just obsessive with Arnold which was kinda a comical thing really.

But I hated how when Helga's alcoholic Mom took over Bob's business and had it running really well and showing she was really good at it, Helga made her quit the job and go back to her mundane motherly duties. Like as an alcoholic myself, that's kinda painful to look back on. Her mom was jus th your ordinary housewife to a business mogul with a couple of kids, and she was just a drunk basically the whole time. But then she finally got out of the funk and got empowered, which could have maybe gotten her completely out of that funk she was in, but Helga made her go back to her old life.

Yeah. And the reason was that Helga, being a 4th grader, missed her mom and the few motherly duties she tried (and often failed) to do. I think what's really concerning is how in flashbacks to Olga, her mom was so much more lively and did everything to encourage Olga, and she even perked up and got it together when Olga visited. The implications are concerning all around. :'(

I think a lot of it is the age gap. I mean its never implicitly said but I think Helga wasnt really planned and she put all her energy into Olga. And when Helga came along it's kinda this thing where it's almost another generation you have to raise and I think Helga's mom really just wanted to be done with the parenting thing after Olga was out of the house, but then Helga came along and extended parenting life by what, like 10, 15 years? And Bob was always out doing his business stuff and then sat his ass on the couch whenever he was home.

What I really liked about the show was how developed the characters were and certain characters had their families pretty well developed on top of it, it delved into many different dynamics of family and friend life.

I think I need to rewatch it but Helga not being planned definitely seems believable considering the family's wealth. One golden child who exceeded their expectations with her potential, so they didn't want or need another.

I like that Harold and Helga career advisor test episode because we saw that Harold actually can do anything he wants to but he just needs more confidence and to not let others emotionally hinder him.
