Did XV in preparation for the Torment tonight.

Now that seems like a quality pull. I'm going to try to stop doing realm draws for now so I can save up for one pull on the XIV banner. But I still have some exciting ones (III, V, and X) left to do along with not so exciting I, II, XIV, and T-0.

I've been lucky with 3000 gem draws generally being worth it for the draw itself to varying degrees so while most of the LMR ones I've done have been a complete waste (I randomly got Sazh, SEVERAL copies of both Faris and Tidus) at least the draw itself is generally okay. But yeah it's still a kick to the balls. Particularly Sazh which I got literally a few days after the LMR draw expired.

I was able to sub-30 the d280 with an all-XV team but it was pretty close... I lost 2 characters near the end thanks to no last stand, and I have no buffga so I'm using suboptimal stuff like Death Throes and Hailstorm. Ignis's BSB would be nice but then I'd need an entruster since I'm also kind of relying on his USB for the team fastcast. Think I'm going to leave the d??? until I have a better team.

Ugh the 280 FFXV torment was a pain, the first one was cake and died in 17 seconds but the 280 does so much damage even with power breakdown + Jitterbug + Prompto BSB, really wish I had a source of last stand in this realm.

At least I sub 30'd it and got Lunar Leviathan and enough spirit motes to legend dive Barbarbicca, so the FF4 torment is next.

I sub30'd 280 Calcabrina, she was a lot easier than Deadeye, or at least the damage was a lot more manageable since it's mostly gravity attacks. Now I got all the new water abilities and r4'd them to boot! (probably have to get Lunar Leviathan to r5 though for Belias, I'm gonna have to use my stamina potions on Saturday, the day I used to do events instead of dailies... d'oh)

I got a rainbow in the daily draw today, Gau's Shiny thing (dupe) of course it had to be one of the meme stinkers.

Also currently 6 Summon crystals short of r5 Lunar Leviathan, already used up my stamina potions so I'll need a couple of magic pots today, or hopefully Belias won't come out next week..

I got super lucky today on the dailies and got 3 magic pots in a row! A few extra and I got Lunar Leviathan to r5!



Went for a test run on Marilis and I can sub20 her with my mage team (though Rikku will probably do nothing but imperils against Belias)

He can AoE paralyze, interrupt and confuse you at the end....

You can only protect against one of those st a time (unless you use the protect all thing, but only one person can wear that)

The Phantom Train sucked because of the possession BS + Status effects but I managed with my water mage team. Rydia and Strago used summons to prevent counters, Larsa wrath'd to build meter to spam his BSB to keep the party safe with astras, Morrow entrusted Rydia for imperils and Larsa for more meter and I weaseled through this RNG mess of a fight.

Wish I could of brought Elara for quick casts and get this fight done ASAP but the stupid "she pees her pants over d50 ghosts" restriction doesn't let you use her.

Meh.

Looking at going through each of the new torments. Did the first two of queklain, but couldnt beat the second difficulty of Gilgamesh or jenova. I have all the toys in FF7 (though no Zack chain), but just couldnt pull it off.

I think I can beat Deadeye, but I have no hastega in that realm for SBs. I do have promptos chain, as well as Araneas USB, Prompto USB, and Noct ASB.

Edit: also, nothing at all for Iris

Jenova is really friggin' hard I still can't sub30 the second one, granted my DPS is pretty dated (Cloud USB + BSB2 and Tifa USB1 and AOSB) so don't feel bad if you can't beat her yet.

Most of Deadeye's attacks are piercing so you don't need protectga and can put hastaga on Iris (that said you probably want jitterbug on her to lower Deadeye's attack as much as possible) Or you can off realm your main boostga since the only native ones are Ignis BSB and Iris USB.

We're probably going to see maintenance this week since we're at the last translated event (well the Enna Kros WoFF event is half translated for some reason) Oh dear, 5* Fire Magicite will probably come along with it...

God I hate the Geosgaeno fight so much. Just lost one because he entered phase 3 literally one tick after I used Larsa's instant burst command, so petrify came down about 3-4 ticks before Life Crystal got off. Still only have one copy of the magicite so I guess I won't really be able to do any Fire magicite when that comes along.

I'm sorta half and half on the fire Magicite, I definitely want to use my new *6 water abilities but I also wish we had the USB/LM dream select already so I have a better chance of sub30ing Belias. Also I'm sick of fighting Famfrit for the monthly 20, not because he's hard but that stupid protect at the end of the fight can screw me out of a sub30 if I don't kill him before Prompto's chain runs out, it's usually either a sub 25 or a sub30 miss depending how many doublecasts I get and if Ixion doesn't troll me with attack or evade instead of Aerospark in that last crucial moment.

I also pulled on the FF9 realm banner this morning in hopes of a Vivi USB.

I've been holding on to 150 mythril in preparation for FF14's event banner and only spend on Realm banners when I get 165+ so I should be okay ( don't care about the healer banner anyway, only ones I want are Aerith, Ovelia, Iris, Larsa/Penelo and Aphmau's USBs and those more just nice to have than essential except Aerith's)

I'm probably doing all of them. The magic one has the most dupes for me, but Terra AOSB, Ashe AOSB, and Rinoa USB are among my most wanted items, so for half price it's worth a pull. The other two are even better.

heal is a must pull for me, phys probably as well. both superior sources of en-element for Cecil and Cloud (which i can currently only do with their BSBs), Cecil AOSB, Squall USB2. my only dupes are the Tidus relics. Locke's AOSB is also nice even if i wouldn't be too excited to be using him.

magic i'm less certain about, since i have all four Ashe relics and don't really care about the other characters. but chain on a half-price banner is always tempting and it's a decent spread for the others with no other dupes outside of BSBs (and Rinoa BSB, the one i don't have, could actually be helpful if i don't get her USB since all i have for her right now is her AOSB)/

I'm probably skipping the magical one. I'll have to take a close look once we actually get confirmation of those banners, but a first look revealed lots of dupes.

Physical isn't exactly dupe-free, but it's not as bad as the magical one.

I'm drawing on anything with healer relics, because I'm severely lacking in USBs at this point.

Train was funny. Because its damage was relatively low I went old school and Roaming Warrior'd Cloud and had Sabin smack it with like 80k Ironfist Fires. I had it down do 60% hp before the scripted Elarra thing.
