That sounds so utterly stupid.

It's either Super Nintendo or "ess in ee ess."

I never heard anyone in my life say "sness" untill last year.

It's like some kind of hipster shit speedrunners say now. All of them say sness now cuz it's like a meme to them. It's the one thing about watching speedruns that I just absolutely hate.

We always said 'snes', but that's because my generation started with the 'nes', so it made sense. It was always snes, or the 'super'.

Pronunciation of the letter N singular is it makes the same sound as a low i as like the I in "itch" followed by the sound a low n makes as in "not". So low i low n, i-n.

Some people say it's en, but a low e makes a sound that's different.

For example a low e as in elephant is not the same sound a singular N pronunciation makes. Low I is a much closer approximation of the sound.

During NES it was pronounced en ee ess or ness by the 4-10 year olds I knew.

Snes comes out and all the combinations are tried. Ess en ee ess and Super Nintendo are settled on quickly by the majority. A few call is super ness or super en ee ess but even they conform long term.

Everyone agreed sness was dumb though.

I called the NES "ness" so I called SNES "es-ness".
