Supposedly it's that you can't have gameplay where you touch girls. This was restricted to VR for a while (Gal*Gun 2 and DoAX3 got screwed over because of this), but it seems it's leaked into all games released on PS4.

I'm not. I'm actually planning on getting it day 1. I just find it odd that Cyberpunk, a game that is far more explicit than Sanran Kagura, is allowed to be on consoles 100% uncensored yet Senran Kagura has to have content cut because it has a feature that allows you to touch virtual tities that can never be fully uncovered.

I'm not sure why the age of the characters matters since they're just a collection of pixels with giant breasts. But if you must know, nearly all of them are 16+ (meaning legal in most states).

People are upset because of the censorship, especially when almost all of it (in terms of games at least) is usually targeted to japanese games, even when the content in them is not as bad as some other western games that have actual full nudity in them. It's an issue when not very many japanese games get localized, and then a good portion of those get censored to some degree so if a japanese game you do want to play actually comes out and gets censored, congratulations you are now not getting the full game experience.

There are cases where actual story content or story dlc didn't even get localized as part of the game and were cut out completely, and that is not okay. In this case it may have just been some side mini game thing so you will at least get the full story and everything, but it's something that has been in previous games and all of a sudden it's out, and western fans of these anime type games are getting tired of all the censorship that seems directed at only them and are SOL often times when it comes to those kinds of games since the only other alternative is to spend years learning japanese so they can just import the games they want and not have to worry about it.
