I just finished the first game in the HD collection and I want to know if it's worth playing or if I should just skip it and move onto 3.

If you've got plenty of time, it could be worth a play just so you can actually understand how bad it is and talk with folks about it. As an actual game it's not worth your time. DMC3 is insanely good, though.~

I played through it recently! It is bad, but I think worth playing to really know WHY it's bad and to find out yourself and know first hand instead of just relying on others telling you
Also it has a few things that are fine in it --- What a mad banquet of darkness... Bane ... Copied to Clipboard!

If you skip cutscenes and REALLY like his pistols Ebony and Ivory youll like it (they are so broken you cant believe) other than that....

Don't bother playing it. Most of the best mechanics in DMC 2 got carried over to 3 anyway.
