The book was so much better. Movie Jack was just kind of an asshole to begin with. Book Jack was a guy trying really hard to keep it together, but he failed. That's scarier.

I've never read the book, but I've seen the Stephen King directed movie that he made out of spite to be 100% faithful to the book. And I gotta say....hedge art ghosts...naw. --- ... Movie is meant to be ambiguous. Jack's cabin fever and alcoholism definitely fuel this ambiguity.
