Always. More often than not there's something missing. I almost never have a complicated order too.

I've been doing it more because they have been seeming to mess up more. I also have very simple orders. As a matter of fact, when my order is more complicated, they usually get it right. I'm usually missing a Cane's sauce from Cane's. I usually end up with fried rice instead of steamed. And other stuff, as well. So, I have been checking more. That's being said, when I'm at home, my mom makes us check her food before leaving the drive-thru window. But that's also good for us as she will check to make sure our food is there...

It's minimum wage unskilled labor. The people working there typically aren't the brightest people or they would be working better jobs.

You get what you pay for. Offer legit pay and benefits and watch the employees actually care. Would you give af if you worked 8 hour days and still had to rely on food stamps?

Typically, yes.

I worked at McDonald's for a year. I'm a very particular person, so I 'had pride' in making sure people had the appropriate stuff in the bag. That being said, I was still living at my parent's at the time, as an 18 year old. People living off that wage are often exhausted from working two ****ty jobs, and eating ****ty food at work (also paying 50% for staff meals at McDonalds, which is BS).

They don't deserve better pay. It's called unskilled labor for a reason. You could train a monkey to do the work. If they want better pay, they should improve their skillset and get a better job. I say this as someone who did work fast food while in high school and college. Fast food workers don't deserve more than minimum wage. Giving unskilled workers higher pay devalues the pay of actual skilled workers. If you want good pay, then go out and get an actual skill so you can do skilled labor.

Sometimes, improving a skill can cost money to train and such. But if they don't make enough money to improve their skills, then they're just stuck there...

To be fair you can train a monkey to do most any of these skilled jobs and that's what happens. You'd think people deserving of all this money for these 'skills' could shake their minimum wage work ethic but they don't.

So you end up with shitty service, products and bare minimum effort in every sector but these so called skills are for a premium price. So you get your mc diagnosis at the hospital where you wish they could throw together an order as consistent as a value meal, but the door keeps revolving and pocket books are pried wide open so throw that bag out the window.

No, they wouldn't. Low-end jobs would always stay low-end jobs so the same quality of worker would be there. You'd just be paying more for the same shitty work. The only way it might change is if they paid far more than skilled labor -- so they could attract better quality workers -- or if the labor glut was severe enough that they could only pick high-functioning individuals.

Well, sometimes, I just pick up food on the way home. I don't see why it would be odd to take it home. Plus, I like to do stuff while eating. Like playing a game or watching something...

That doesn't make unskilled labor worth more than minimum wage though. If someone isn't willing to improve their station in life and just wants to be paid more for doing an unskilled job, then fuck them. That's their own damn fault for not trying to improve themselves. Saying it is too expensive is nothing but an excuse. Yes, college can be expensive, but you can learn skills without going to college or spending a lot of money.

Food tends to cool pretty quickly. Even if you live 5-10 minutes from where you buy it, you're losing a lot of the taste.

As for doing something while eating, you *do* have that drive... >_> Otherwise you could watch something on your phone at the fast food place.

I rather not drive super distracted by eating. Even if I did, that 's not the kind of thing I *want* to do while eating. And why watch something on my phone when I can d that on a tv. And food does cool sometimes, but not that much. Especially if you live close. And you could always have heat on it. Always taste good when I get home.
