Merlot? Chardonnay?

Idk brands but those types usually taste decent.

My neighbor makes it so I usually trade him the beer I make.

Making beer/wine sounds like fun.

I like Merlot too, and some other fruit wines

Beers pretty easy, I started with those kits that come with a plastic keg before working my way up to more legit equipment. If you're interested in it you can get started for like 60-70 dollars and a bit of time, they even sell packs for different types of beers

Wine? He's showed me his process and it's legit alchemy lmao. Guy's like 70 and talks about it like it's as easy as brushing your teeth

The white wine my dad makes. I used to drink cheap red wine all the time, usually two or three bottles a night, can't handle it now.

I don't drink much anymore, but favourite is contextual.

With a tomato based dish - something I make regularly - a Sangiovese like Monte Antico or straight Chianti is a given.

With a sirloin I'll have an American Cabernet Sauvignon like J Lohr or Frei Brothers, or maybe an Australian Shiraz like Jim Jim.

With turkey or spicy food I'll grab the Canadian Vineland Riesling.

To have around the house for non-wine drinkers I'll have an Italian Pinot Grigio like Barone Montalto or Santa Margherita, a French Vouvray/Chenin Blanc like J Moreau & Fils or B&G Passport, or an Old World rose.

For pure taste for myself with no meal pairing, probably the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc Golden Mile or a Cotes du Rhone red.

box wine because it's fucking cheap and I'm an alcoholic. I get the pink kind. Not a fan of dark red or white wine
