In 2012, I didn't even have a smartphone and didn't use any social media aside from Facebook. But over the past few years, I've witnessed the transition of society from sites/social media to social media. The artists that I liked all made social media accounts and posted works on their Instagrams, abandoning their official websites and blogspots. Most of the people I knew made Instagrams, Tumblrs, and Snapchats. The models stopped using the modeling sites and flocked to social media.

So I ended up having to participate in order to continue enjoying content.

Fond of Instagram lately because its like Facebook but without the political shit and relationship BS. Only thing I hate is bots.

Agreed. I never cared about Instagram until this guy kept showing it to me in late 2013 (calling it "IG"). I made an account in early 2014 and didn't get it, but I saw more people transitioning to it the past 3 years so it became more worthwhile.

I don't have any (not interested tbh, my life has always gotten along just fine without it). That may change in the future since you keep seeing articles pop up about lack of accessible social media profiles hindering possible employment opportunities. That sucks that it's gotten to the point where you cannot even opt out anymore for personal reasons or indifference.

Edit: Some chicks care about it too and would judge you for it. Thankfully my current girlfriend really doesn't give a shit, she never bugged me about it at all.

Yes. The definition of "social media" includes forums too. Most people only include sites like facebook, twitter, instagram etc, but it's more than just those kind of sites.

I use Facebook maybe once a month. Don't use Twitter or Instagram at all. I use Reddit and GameFAQs, and that's about it.
