A Halloween decoration hanging in the window of a North Dakota home is so scary that it prompted calls from neighbors!!

The horrifying sign appears to be written by BLOOD in part of Becky Muh's display for her favourite holiday in West Fargo.

She and her husband were getting messages from neighbors asking if they were "OK" after dialing 911

Her neighbor told a local station "I looked across the street and i see in my neighbor's windows as that window has always been drawn so i'm like, what's going on in here?."

Becky says "I didn't answer and 15 minutes later, he's like, are you okay are you okay, are you at home? and then i said, what?".

Becky says Halloween has always been her favourite holiday since childhood and it's also her wedding anniversary. Her birthday is also on October 29th as they had a family tradition of decorating so this new sign was certainly going to cause some concern..

The incident ended with a laugh and the officer didn't ask her to take it down

I feel like I would have just assumed it was holiday decorations. I would have felt bad if it was real, though.

Who stops to write help me in blood (backwards, mind you since it's normal from the street) while they're being axe-murdered or whatever? How about going over there and knocking on their door like a normal person? 'murricans.

If someone thought this was actually someone in trouble they're an absolute moron and should feel bad

The lettering looks fake (mostly because it's far too wide to just write with a finger and there's no point to the blooded handprints) but, in this day and age, I guess people want to be safe. Given the season, I can imagine actual criminal evidence being initially written off as decorations.
