I've had about 4 hours of sleep in the last 4 days.

Your brain starts shutting off completely at random times. I shouldn't drive until I sleep, I've almost gotten into a couple accidents. If I don't get any sleep tonight I'm taking an uber to work tomorrow.

You get delusional after waking up from not enough sleep. This morning I thought I was just on a game show filled with clones of myself and feeling like there were just random mes walking around in the crowd. Being alive is pretty painful at those moments.

Obviously I know they're not real. They're as real to me as they are to you, which is essentially the fact that you know that someone else thinks there are clones of myself walking around, and that they're real in that sense.

I'll be at work and I'll walk into the back to get something. I'll forget what I was getting, who I was helping, how I got there, who I was just talking to. I have to walk out and look for context clues. That typically happens about... a lot.

I wake up in 5 hours. I still don't have any reason to get any sleep. Nothing really bothers me. Uber is relatively cheap.

I'll put them on as I go to sleep. Mostly I just have zero interest in sleeping, but I'll try.

None of that sounds like any experience I've had with not sleeping. Especially the game show, wtf?

I know I suggested it after you knocked your noggin, but you might consider a doctor visit.

Earlier this year I went through a weird phase when I was sick with the flu, where I couldn't sleep no matter how hard I tried, or how tired I felt. I went for something like a week without sleeping.

I was actually waiting to see if I started manifesting any sort of psychotic breaks or weird hallucinations, but other than having constant flow of thoughts (like some people experience during panic attacks), I didn't really experience any other symptoms.

One of my anxiety meds made me extremely antsy, and agitated, I couldn't stay still for more than a few moments. It made it impossible to sleep, I was on that one for about a week before I went back to the doctor. I was told to stop taking that one, and was prescribed Xanax as well.

As far as hallucinations go, or other weird stuff, I was mostly seeing movement and shadows from the corners of my eyes. Never full on hallucinations, just mistakenly thinking you saw something move beside you. It was miserable though, felt like the embodiment of death lol. Once I got some sleep and it was out my system everything cleared up again.

I got a really bad poison oak rash and went to the doctor. She gave me these pills that not only made it damn near impossible to sleep, but took away my appetite. It is very hard to operate with barely any food and sleep.

It's not the tip of the iceberg of things I "know aren't true"'.

Maybe the only thing I'd ever be good for would be writing a book about them.

I don't know why I would see a doctor at this point. "Hey Jamie, guess what? You're officially crazy now. Stop being crazy, you're not allowed. Take these drugs."

Ok doctor.

I love staying up late and sleeping in. Too bad I only do the former regularly.

My experience with sleep deprevation included audio and visual hallucinations, especially in peripheral vision. And also what I call the blinks, where it feels like there is a flicking of an on/off switch in my head real quick.
The longest I've ever been awake for was 81 hours.

I went to a convention a long time ago and made the mistake of not booking a room in advance. I got there and every hotel and motel in the area was full. So I stayed up for 4 days straight.

By Sunday, my brain kept falling asleep while I was awake and it was really trippy. I was doing crazy stuff like throwing paper airplanes from the balcony in the hotel lobby and climbing over the furniture. I think I spent at least an hour staring at the ceiling in front of the elevators.

And then I had to drive home from Buena Park to San Diego. Luckily I'd decided to leave at like 2 am, so there was very little traffic on the freeway. But my brain kept telling me I was asleep and if I'd thought that I could drive off the road, I probably would have. I don't remember anything about the drive, but I managed to make it home in one piece and then I slept for about 16 hours straight.

Ok now I'm seeing and hearing things.

I heard a blip from a phone that didn't exist, and a bright strange colored red dot that made me turn around and look for a laser pointer. This might have something to do with the moldy bread I ate.

What's a little unnerving is that I'm hardly sleep deprived, 4 hours of sleep last night.

...what did you do at night then? Most businesses are closed. You could have maybe slept in your car or something if you weren't doing anything anyway.

The audio hallucinations go on.

I was playing smash bros, I kept hearing a man say "you win" in a deep voice after I win playing online. A sad black man.

idk. I don't really care. I work mornings and I'm up at night/day working on my projects. Sleep is a waste of time. Sure, I'm in pain when I wake up, but morning me has little say in what night me does.

I'm feeling a little glitchy but not broken. If it isn't broken don't fix it.

I have, as well. I've done it after work before I've gone home when working multiple jobs and I was at the one that had a small commute. I've also done it quite a few other times, as well.
