The questions were

Disney (Infinity)
The Elder Scrolls (Skyrim/Morrowind)
Battle Royale (Fortnite)
Ostrich (Joust)
Destiny

I think in that order.

The contestants saved it for last and only got $200 correct. One of them kept guessing and getting it wrong.

I don't think I've ever seen an episode of Jeopardy where the contestants want to choose that category.

BKSheikah correctly guessed which years are more popular than others on this video game website. Congratulations!

Not too surprising, the category is rarely used and there's little cross-over with other categories so contestants are less likely to study it.

And it's just a niche interest in general

Is it really more niche than, say, Art History?

Having heard of Destiny is sort of a matter of being interested in video games or not, I can't really imagine a random person being familiar with the game but not having interest in games

I wouldn't have gotten the last three. I didn't know "battle royale" was the name of a genre, I'm not familiar at all with Joust, and I know of Destiny, but I don't know any details about the story or who the developer is.

Yeah I haven't played Destiny 2 but I played Destiny 1 and I would have put it together just from "second iteration of this bungie game"

Basically this. I was able to come up with the $1000 after a couple seconds specifically because it mentioned Bungie, but I do strongly doubt I would've been able to do it under pressure.

I could see a lot of people missing the Joust one if they've just never looked at arcade games before though.

Man, that is a really horrible set of video game questions - the average game player probably wouldn't even get the last three. TES is not well-known to general audiences and is easily 1000 dollar level at best, "Battle Royale" as a genre has not been accepted as common parlance yet, knowing that you ride ostriches in Joust is a fairly deep-level trivia question that I doubt most people would just know off the top of their heads and you either just know or don't (do people even really remember Joust?), and the Destiny question simply doesn't have enough clues even if you HAVE heard of the game, which again, general audiences probably haven't. You'd pretty much have to have played it or know it's a Bungie game; the awkward "make your future" at the beginning is not sufficient to point to the word "destiny."

Would rewrite the clues as such:

"The Elder Scrolls series features games with subtitles such as Morrowind, Oblivion, and this "stratospheric" hit, released in 2011"

"One of the hottest new games of 2018 is this: Battle Royale, in which the last player standing is the winner. Don't spend two weeks coming up with the answer"

"In this classic 1982 arcade game, play as a medieval knight dueling not on horseback, but on the back of an ostrich - what else?"

This is a lot more doable. I don't know what the fuck I would do with the Destiny clue

$400 is the only one I would have gotten right I think. Buzzing in without thinking I definitely would have guessed Pixar for $200. The others I had no idea.
