I wasn't that hungry one day last week, so I went to just get some nuggets.

THEY GAVE ME A DOUBLE. I spent like 15 minutes in line, too - so, by the time I could've complained and got the right order, I would've been late back to work.

So...I just ate the friggin double. My stomach hated me for the rest of the day.

Actually valid point lol. Working for $10-$12/hr you dont give a fuck and god forbid some shit comes up you can just drop off an application at McDonalds for another shit pay job on your way home.

They shouldnt get $20/hr, right around $12 is perfect for a low/no skill job. Not enough to get rich, or not live from paycheck to paycheck, or own nice things, but youre eating 3 meals a day and can pay bills. Depends where you live, $12/hr is poverty in most locations but you arent eating the fucking roaches you live with unless youre in SF or NYC. Not that you could afford anything except a cardboard box in those places at 12/hr...

Minimum wage should keep up with the cost of living (many no skill jobs in NYC pay $13/hr, but lol 80% of your month income goes to rent).

I dont like hands on government but this is the one case I feel like it is acceptable for the government to step in and tell private businesses fuck you, you cant charge $6 for a loaf of bread because minimum wage is now a living wage. Try it and well fuck you so hard with fines and taxes you wont have $2 to buy bread.

My friend moved out in his mid 20s cause he was paying for school and is now making over 150k a year as a civil engineer.
