Going to try to be successful at social media though. Like, the only way I see a way into the comics industry is to do freelance stuff. Go to conventions, make a YT channel, go on IG, Twitter, etc. and put stuff out there. It will take years of work to get to a professional level, but you just have to stick with it and keep pushing forward. You can begin that journey at any age.
I would doodle a lot as a kid, I never tried for accuracy, did paintings or worked with anything other than pencil passing the time in class. About 4 years ago I got a graphics tablet and stepped into the world of digital painting and it made all the difference. I plan to make it my profession, but it has been, and will continue to be, a long road of dedication and practice. Believe me when I say the concept of talent is overblown. Resolve and determination to earn your skill is far more important. --- move all remaining groundhog mercenaries to the front lines. Have sheep troopers squadrons A and B flank the cows. I mean, talent helps, and it helps me that I've been drawing for 17 years (some of my other, non-original drawings are definitely pro level), but drawing your own creations professionally takes years of work. I remember watching a documentary on Todd Mcfarlane where he said he used to spend a week or two just drawing hands over and over, then he'd move onto arms, legs, feet, and so on, until he could draw his character perfectly. --- Playing: Horizon Zero Dawn Reading: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline ...
