"Why Go" is my favorite Pearl Jam song. Tight and powerful. Especially love the lyrics.

Jeremy and Do The Evolution are my personal PJ favs, but anything off their first 2 albums is gold. Once, Why Go, Alive, Even Flow, Daughter, Rearview Mirror, and Rats are some of my favs off the top of my head.

Better Man and Breath are solid too.

The only PJ song I legit don't like is Last Kiss, and it's a cover anyways, so eh.

And Dissident.

Honestly Ten and Vs were just really great albums. Their later stuff kinda tapered off though. But PJ is a really kick ass live band though. May be the best live band I've ever seen. I've seen both Soundgarden and PJ live and although I like Soundgarden better PJ is just so much better live.

Corduroy is definitely the best song off Vitalogy, and IMO it's in their top 5 songs from their first three albums.

I'll second this. I've seen them about 6 different times and they've always been incredible. They love to dig into their catelog of songs for each tour and play obscure tracks. This makes seeing them each time a different experience.

Chris Cornell's voice is the best from that group, but all the lead singers are strong.

Pearl Jam had the strongest overall library of great music.

Nirvana's Unplugged special is the single most impressive performance from any of those bands.

God yes. I watched it when it premiered and could tell it was something special.

AiC's Unplugged is pretty good too, but it's just heartbreaking to see how frail Layne was.

Pearl Jam has a lot of hidden gems on their post Vitalogy albums. They never put out another near-perfect album again IMO, but there's some amazing shit in their later work still.

They're likely bout to put out a new album either next year or the year after and I'm hype.

MTV has recently been airing it again, and it still holds up. I'll watch it anytime I see it. This is probably favorite song from the set (starts at 0:50 after the banter)

Was already fairly certain about my rankings of these 4, but now I'm certain.

Pearl Jam > Alice in Chains > Nirvana > Soundgarden

The only reason Nirvana is leading the poll is because they get the most radio play.

When I listened to Alt Radio/ rock station nirvana definitely got the least amount of play out of the four bands listed. If I turn on them on right now Ill probably hear 2 or 3 Pearl Jam songs or an AiC song before SH or N.

Pearl Jam's gotten a lot more play recently, Alice in Chains too, but Nirvana still gets played a fuck ton.

It helps that PJ and AIC are still making music, even with AiC losing Layne.

Probably soundgarden. I listen to them the most nowadays but all were my "top band forever" at some point

Idk, from the late 80s/early 90s I like the noise rock and dream pop stuff more which kinda got overshadowed like crazy by grunge.

Also pavements the best band of the 90s.
