She's just not very charismatic and can't do the badass thing for shit. Kinda feels like the actors don't get enough credit in most Marvel movies. Black Panther was so relateable due to just how smooth and personal the actor was almost as much as the writing itself. Thor had 2 bad movies and is still loved due to just how both funny and badass Chris Hemsworth could be. Of course the overrated one here is RDJ, who, despite being overpaid and phoning in performances nowadays, definitely brings a huge crowd himself. Scarlet Johansson also brings in some of the better acting of her career and is probably the first person you think of when anybody says Black Widow. Then there's Brie Larson, whose signature look seems to be blankly staring at the camera like she's seen some shit, and her line reading doesn't really impress. I don't really know her personality from the comic books since I don't read much comic book in general but wasn't this a good chance to sorta do their own version of Superman that DCCU already fucked up? A sort of a girl scout, do gooder who's always positive as a beacon of hope on top of being super overpowered. Feels like it was a chance to really surround the superhero genre market more than they already have. But young Nick Fury and mother freaking Coulson appearing is great. Too bad it seems like it's probably gonna be the less experienced Coulson though if that meeting happens in the past like the trailer implies. The trailer has me more interested in Nick Fury than Carol, since it looks like we are going to find out how he loses his eye. Not a very exciting trailer.
