No they are advocating shooting an intruder who barges into your house. Even if that person is an off duty cop. Thing is say the man had a gun, and got to his gun. You should be able to shoot anyone that's on your property whether they pose a threat or not. Bet no one would be late with the rent money ever again if the land lord could shoot you a minute past midnight if you're late.

There was a case where a man shot a cop who didn't identify their self in his home during an improper raid and he got off. I can't find the story though.

I think that's an exception though. I doubt that will happen again. A lot of police departments are like gangs and will protect and avenge their own.

What about this scenario... a cop unlawfully breaks into the house or apartment of another cop, both pull guns, they have a standoff, a third cop in the area hears a commotion, arrives on the scene and shoots and kills both cops in the standoff but is also killed by a bullet ricochet from their own gun? What would the NRA think about that?
