When I was younger it was probably below the Medoza line...nowadays Its probably like .700...I've actually had to turn down jobs...

who knows maybe like retail and fast food actually have a good percentage of no's.

I've had 5 job interviews. I was successful in 4 of them.

The only one I wasn't successful with was a science teaching job on the local army base. I knew the person who got the job. She actually majored in a science (I'm a math major), plus she's in the army reserves. I didn't feel bad that I wasn't picked.

Considering I got this job more or less through nepotism, zero.

6 total interviews, 4 offers, 1 "I will offer it to you if I get the budget for it", and 1 I never heard from again after the interview.

Of the 4 offers, I accepted 3 of them. The last one I turned down in favor of a different position that I didn't have to interview for.

Never had one. My first job or two were helping neighbors or friends during the summer. Then the place where I work now was just looking for part time help so many years ago and I stuck with it, going full time.

Can't say how I'd do in an interview. I'm not much of a serious person.

Know a lot about the company you're applying for before the interview. Casually bring up things you know about the company during the interview (ties in well with answering the classic "why do you want to work here" question). Have a bunch of relevant work related stories to connect with during the interview.

These worked for teaching jobs. My other 2 job interviews for less serious positions were mostly a personality check to make sure I wasn't a moron.

Before my college degree I was 100%. I got my degree and searched for jobs when the economy was bad - and there were regularly 200+ applications for most positions I applied for. The experience of doing job interviews was great, however.

Well out of several interviews I've been for only one of them was unsuccessful. The interviews were just a formality in most cases though.

I haven't had many interviews because I don't change jobs often and I've been in the industry for 12 years. But, I was recently head hunted by a competitor of the last company I worked for. They offerd me $2 an hour more than I was getting and I talked myself into another $2 on top of that

1 successful part-time internship hire, 1 "budget can't afford you for full time" for a different internship, and 4 failures.

I work in IT, which around here is cutthroat competition for the higher level jobs. Just getting to the interview stage means you're damn good. But they usually interview 3 or more people, which means 1 winner and 2+ losers for each interview, so the odds are against you.

I tried to switch departments a couple of times at my current job. I was denied for one because the supervisor didn't want to fight my current boss and the other time I was short on some training.

Otherwise, I've never had an unsuccessful interview. I once was given a job at my community college. They gave me a uniform and hours but on my very first day they told me I could not work because I was a student there.

I've only been on one formal interview, which I didn't get. Usually when I apply for a job, I either don't get it, or they're just hiring whoever applies because they have a lot of turn-over.
