The news of Henry Cavill's sudden firing as Superman may have been pre-mature as a firestorm of twitter users took to social media to vent their outrage...particularly ones who were vehemently opposed to Black Panther's MICHAEL B JORDAN as the possible replacement!!..

However, insiders said Cavill isn't necessarily fired but that he is not needed yet as they are now focusing on SUPERGIRL insted..

Also, if Superman is greenlit again for a future solo movie or in a new Justice League film which has now been cancelled in the near future after the massive bomb, it's been reported that Henry will have to FIGHT for that JOB again as superman and would have to fight against Michael B Jordan, John Krasinski, Armie Hammer and Asian newcomer and Crazy Rich Asians superstar, Henry Golding!! WB is clear that they have no problem shaking up Superman's racial identity as well

Negotiations broke down between WB and Cavill because he wouldn't commit to a planned cameo in DC Comics film Shazam! that's out next April and his new lead role is in Netflix's The Witcher that led to his unwillingness to appear alongside Zachary Levi in Toronto where it was filmed..

Fans threw a frenzy upon hearing the news and describe the DC Comicverse as more disastrous as previously thought and Cavill even posted a video of himself on instagram that seemed to have suggested he was leaving the role as well

He first played the role in 2013's Man of Steel after Brandon Routh was Fired for his one time portrayal.

However some were happy over the news of Cavill's firing as they felt he didn't live up to the role and he himself felt he wasn't paid for what he's worth

As of now there are no Superman films in the works as the Supergirl origin movie is on deck as well as Gal Gadot's success Wonder Woman as well as Aquaman and the standalone Flash movie

A solo Batman is also sidelined as Ben Affleck is out as well and WB is on the look for a new Batman even though Affleck has never had a solo movie

I'm not worried about Supes being white or whatever but Micheal B Jordan is a terrible choice and is just following the trend of picking someone popular instead of suitable-this has ruined many a decent adaptation. When done correctly, it's fine-look at Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin in the sad Affleck (a man who clearly has no business playing superheroes and should stick to directing, which he's actually not terrible at) Daredevil for example.

It's less to do with having to be white and more to do with making an arbitrarily racial change to a character with over 70 years of history. Given that even changing his hair color would be controversial, a race or gender swap is just silly.

Superman is a made up character. Hes not MLK or Abraham Lincoln or Adolf Hitler. He can be drawn white, black, purple. He can be played by any race. Its sad that wanting to take a character in a new direction is automatically seen as forced diversity.

there has been a black superman before, but it wasn't clark kent. I suppose if they wanted a black superman they could use him. but I doubt it would do as well, superman to everyone is clark kent. him batman, and wonderwoman are always clark kent, bruce wayne and diana prince to everyone. and they where also the originals unlike barry allen flash, hal jordan green lantern, among others.

when they bring green lantern in eventually though, even though it wouldn't follow canon I definitely wouldn't be upset to see john stewart as green lantern. not a big lantern fan but he was my favorite (hes the one I grew up with cause justice league cartoons) and thats pretty much what it boils down to, people don't like seeing their childhood idols changed.I mean henry cavil is white and looks the part well enough and people still bitched because in the superman movie and batman vs superman he didn't act like superman. people bitched because batman killed in batman vs superman and thats just not the batman we grew up knowing.

now with that said I originally balked at the domino in deadpool 2, but ended up enjoying her performance. but then again I really didn't know much about her other than what her powers where and what she looked like (and still think some white body paint and a hair straightner wouldn't have been a bad idea, I mean its not like she was a natural white more like joker white so it wouldn't be white washing)

yeah i'm still irritated aquaman suddenly has black hair. how much does hair dye fucking cost? or bleach in this case. i'm fine with the long hair and beard because that has been done with him before.

Didn't Henry Cavill say he doesn't want to be Superman anymore anyway because WB doesn't know how to make a good movie.

He made the right choice prioritizing his role in Mission Impossible and refusing to shave his mustache costing WB millions to remove it via CGI.
