Not the ones closer to the front. Ones off near the bathrooms or whatever are less likely to be used and therefore they will be more likely to be close to their payout.

it's about 50/50 chance to win.
though the odd's slightly lower because of the green number.

pays out huge if it lands on 00.

I'm pretty sure it's the same. Higher payouts on the greens is a bit of a misnomer.

How has the trip been so far? Impressions on California?

weirdly i thought i would enjoy LA a lot more than SF, but its been the other way round

LA was far too big and i feel like id need friends to take me around and be a guide. also its tricky to find the good spots to hang out and eat

in SF the people are super friendly and ive not bad any problems (apart from crazy homeless people in popeyes). also i was blown away at how pretty the houses are and the public transport. it felt a tiny bit like a european city. it wasnt as expensive as i thought it would be but i think we avoided the pricey joints

That $50 bucks on slots will last anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours depending on your luck.

My first time out there I spent like $40 on gambling for like 6 hours worth of drinks/entertainment. Every time Id get low i would win like $50. I thought it was a good time to money investment.

Agreed. Basically, if you hand me a 100 dollar bill, and in return, I give you 94 bucks back, we can keep doing that all day long. I'm still making money.
Now, remember, your average slot spin takes about 4 seconds.

So, ever four seconds I can potentially make $6 off of your wager...give or take.

Gambling is such a nasty addiction.

It's really too bad it is considered an 'Alright Vise' by the mainstream.
...Which thusly has been engineered as such.

"What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" is a marketing ploy.

....Meh, I could go on...

He is the casino in that scenario.

Slot machines typically return between 90 and 98 percent of the money put into them (for reference roulette is about 97 and blackjack 99) but the difference to table games is that the variance is huge. Understanding the statistical advantage casinos hold is the key to knowing when you have an advantage and when you can make money from gambling. Unfortunately it's also the best way to get blacklisted since casinos actually like punters to endlessly pump money into machines hunting for 'the big one'.

And I promise you that Nevada law says that the return has to be no lower than 75%. I've literally worked on these machines and installed them in multiple states. Many Indian casinos outside Vegas sit around 80-85%

You're also making it sound like hes gonna get the 98% he put in back when that isn't the case at all.

in most of the major casinos they'll bring you 'free' drinks as long as you're gambling and this includes playing on machines. i'd drop $20 into a video poker machine ($0.25/play) and sit there for about an hour but I'd get 3-4 jack n cokes while i was there. $20 for 3 drinks ain't bad at all.
