Significant improvement over my, frankly, embarrassing time last year (2:27). Finished it in 2:04:59. Couldn't quite make my goal of 2 hours, but my knee basically said fuck it at the 15km mark and I just sorta powered through it against my better judgement, and I'm paying for it now. Should be interesting to see how it feels tomorrow, because I can barely move it right now.

Also, I have a blister the size of Texas on my foot. Which is odd, given that I do plenty of 10km+ runs and never get blisters.

That's pretty impressive. How often do you run 5K's (3.1 miles) and what kind of pace do you like to take on those shorter runs?

I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this who will count the votes, and how.

Congrats! I'd like to train for a half marathon at some point. I can only manage 10k runs so far.

I did a 5km run on Thursday and felt like I was dying. Well done TC.

5k's I do 3-4 times a week. Usually 3 5k's and one 10k. Normally I aim for a 27m 5k, and anywhere under an hour for the 10k.

I'm hobbling around this morning, but it doesn't feel much worse than a day or two after leg day.

It could be because of your knee. I know I get all sorts of weird aches and small injuries when Im favoring one side or the other.

That would make sense. Different levels of pressure and all. It was my left knee that gave out, and my right foot that has the blister, so the theory checks out.

Split times from the race. I'm actually surprised my.pace for the last 10k was that good.

Next time you should do the full marathon so you can say you completed it. I mean, who quits halfway then posts about it?

I legit don't know if I could physically do a full marathon.

Between knee problems and asthma, the half is grueling enough <_<

Me too minus Asthma. So, just knees. Sometimes when I'm on the treadmill I imagine my knee blowing out so I stop using the treadmill at that point.

All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Dynalo together again.

I booked a massage for tomorrow, but pretty sure I'm past the point of that helping too much. My knee is completely shot and I'll just have to deal with that, but perhaps they can help with the calves and hips.

Knees and ankles...ugh.

Really take care of that knee. Ice it, try some anti-inflammatory treatments (turmeric golden paste is awesome).

Your stride may have contributed to the strain but with that many miles even a small misstep can cause injury.
