I used to get drunk at work. A few times it was actually for training purposes, which took the fun out of it.

what the hell kinda job wants you to drink for training purposes?

From the way you said it, it did sound like you were saying she couldn't use it for any other reason then hiding alcohol. But if that's not what you meant, then ok.

Yeah, that's not what I meant. Like I said, I was talking about the specific case. I really don't see why I would assume that's the only reason a person would use listerine?

It was just the way you said it. But I get it now...

also is it you can't eat certain things for the healing period. or like ever again. i'm not big on pasta but I like me some sphaghetti

I think that was a short period. I'm not big on giving up food. But what can't you eat ever again?

Other than he being upset at the company for firing his wife and getting her blacklisted from her career, and he wanted retribution.

That sounds more like your own speculation.

Other than the fact he complained bitterly about the attempted lawsuit and his distaste for the company after they fired his wife. That, and the multitude of reasons he was given as to why he was let go, including the fact that I, an apprentice, had to show him how to do his job on repeated occasions.

He knew he was let go because he wasn't as good as I was, and he filed the claim in retribution.

Still sounds like speculation to me.

i'm assuming that wouldn't be allowed as it would make it obvious you where the drunk one (assuming they had to identify the drunk person from a group they did sobriety tests on)

It's allowed to a point.
Some friends of mine volunteered to do this once. ...and it wasn't just about realizing who was intoxicated. It was also about dealing with someone who is obnoxiously drunk and won't cooperate.

I figured they'd train for that too. but have one where you being drunk legit had to try and fool them.

I have a coworker that shows up drunk to like 90% of her shifts.

Most of my coworkers have drank not long before/at work at some point.

My boss doesn't seem to care if you still get your shit done and don't mess anything up. I know he doesn't care about being high, he's straight up said he doesn't care if you are high if you still do your work.

Well I guess i should go into full detail now.

So Sunday was his second day, before we even opened (we open at noon on Sundays) cops were here. That was around 11:45 am. So I guess someone called the cops on him, as he was staggering around a parking lot near by trying to find his vehicle. I let the officers in not know what they wanted. They basically just talked with him, did a breathalyzer test on him (not sure what he scored, but the officer told me and the boss that he was over).
After searching his vehicle they did find a bottle of what looked like Absolute Vodka, that looked about 25% full. Cause his vehicle was still running, they suspended his license cause of "intent" driving while intoxicated. Due to him having to be let go, he was taken to the drunk tank at the local police station till a relative could pick him up.

I was surprised by the fact my boss left non employees in the back room. Though they are officers so I can understand. I know he was denying that he was drinking, boss did tell the officers he smelt alcohol on his breath.

Those are the people I'd want in my companies back room, their job is to make money for the state by arresting people or ticketing them, and they'll find or plant something to do it
