I don't think that much is unpopular. Even huge fans of the game tend to agree the camera is atrocious

What game is she not in the suit 90% of the time though? You could count Zero Mission I guess, but I don't think she's out of her suit for any significant amount of time in any other game. I could be wrong though.

I just don't get the appeal of JRPGs. I've given Golden Sun a try, got a few hours into it, and then lost interest. I liked Pokmon, but that doesn't really count. Even there it has a lot of the flaws I've found in the other JRPGs I've briefly tried, specifically that the combat tends to favor spamming your good moves at trash mobs. It's undoubtedly the weakest part of Pokmon, but at least Pokmon has this collection and team improvement element that keeps you hooked into. I could never come up with a compelling reason to keep playing Golden Sun. I guess some people like the stories?

Fire Emblem has the same bland story and characters, but the combat was much more interesting because of the movement around the map and using the strengths of different characters to your advantage. So I guess what I'm saying is that turn based combat in the classic SNES-PS1-PS2 era of JRPGs turned me off the whole genre. People have told me I'd like Legend of Dragoon and Kingdom Hearts, which sounds right.

Hordes are a terrible addition in horror games (being rushed by countless enemies in a fast paced run-and-gun action game scenarios). Give me fewer enemies and less ammo. The horde replaced the survival element that came from ammo conservation

Every Final Fantasy game since 9 has been downhill and is now worse that ever

Im sick of consoles (PlayStation and Xbox) and game developers focusing so much on making everything into online competition. Not everybody has a good connection and even though its fun to play with people online, developers are beginning to leave out single player campaign modes, which effectively makes the game nonexistent when the online servers are no longer up.

I really dislike when games are too short. I would rather a long game than a really good short game, but I realize Im not in the majority with this opinion.

Okami is so pathetically easy, it hurts the game.

Mega Man 5 is the best in the NES series.

Mystical Ninja is the best Zelda-style game on N64, INCLUDING both Zeldas.

Secret of Mana is awful. And it was my first RPG-ish game as well, so even nostalgia doesn't help.

Resident Evil 4 is the only good one.

Metroid: Zero Mission was a thoroughly forgettable game except for the Zero Suit bit, which I hated (and also hate how that has arguably become her more iconic look).

I prefer the gameplay of FFTA and FFTA2 to FFT; better race, job and ability variety, better overall job balance, getting to see the opposing units before picking your squad, fights to be had outside of story missions and random encounters, and a few other reasons I'm forgetting. Shame about the Judges, though; they're pretty indefensible.

I wish Tomb Raider would have continued with the Legend/Anniversary/Underworld canon instead of rebooting it, because it completely lost what make old Tomb Raider great.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I really hate the direction video games have gone. Part of it is admittedly nostalgia, but that's not all of it, because there are plenty of older games that I can pick up for the first time and still be more blown away by than anything in video games today. I feel like since late Gen 7 and Gen 8, we haven't gotten anything truly different and new, the same way different generation's did. Even worse, all the innovations and focus are going into how to best nickle and dime consumers instead of the games themselves. Finally, I see a lot of potential for the medium and want to see it grow and mature, and would like to see the industry move beyond murder as the main gameplay element. These factors are why I seldom play nowadays.

Yeah, part of it is that I'm just getting old. =/
