I really liked the game. I still play it, too. I like that after you beat it, you get new game +. Not really sure if it's a spoiler. I like how with so many runes, armor, character types, & skills, you can play many different ways. And you can play to your playstyle instead of being force to use a specific one. IDK. I had a lot of fun with this game. And still do... What are your thoughts on it?

It took me a long time to even get past the first boss. And even longer for the second. After that, I started going all around the castle areas in order just to get some money to buy more skills. That's what you have to do when it gets to hard. I found out that using a Barbarian with Blood armor works pretty well...

Great game, really enjoyed it. First time I played it, there was enough difficulty as everything was new and I didn't know the best things to get, the order to do areas in etc.

I went back and played fresh though, and yeah after you finish the game, even if you wait like a year, there is really no difficulty left, it's still fun, but you just fly through it. Guess you could limit yourself to using the weakest choice for each generation or something to make it harder.

Easy tip if you are having trouble early on is not to do the early (first) area...first, do the second and use the first area to come back to and heal (especially once you get heal on kill runes etc), as you get better stronger, do the 3rd area first etc, till eventually you do the last area first and hit them in reverse order pretty much. Makes for a pretty easy run every time (long as you choose a good character of course).

One of my favorite games of that genre all the same, about the only one in the last 10 years that I have finished more then once (not even salt and Sanctuary though I almost finished it multiple times before restarting as something else hehe).

Like a lot of games I've tried it's always way harder at the very beginning. Instead of focusing on bosses, get gold and power yourself up a bit. This way you can make some progress even if your character choices for that attempt are crappy.

It's odd that one of the biggest annoyances for me is losing lots of progress in my game or excessive repetition. Yet roguelites manage to be fun. I forget which one I tried first but I know it caught my eye because I have a soft spot for 2D action games.
