Playing No Man's sky, and i've barely progressed through the main story, but i spent hours finding an S Class exotic ship, and now i'm hunting for a multitool and i feel like by the time i find it i'm gonna be bored.

I did the same thing in Witcher 3. Trying to farm all POIs before fighting in Kaer Morhen, and trying to find all the armor upgrades for my level that by the time i got them i got bored.

I'm so mentally inept.

Because, like me, you have this really weird itch. I'm like two hours from finishing Witcher 3, probably less, but I spent 160 hours doing everything else. I have Dragon Quest and Spider-Man next month, we'll see how long those take lol...

maybe cause you're getting older and realize none of this shit matters? you play for fun and move on when you're no longer having fun... whether you finish the game or not? there's no actual accomplishment or actual real life reward for finishing a game except if it gives you personal satisfaction

Because you're playing No Man's Sky.

And a lot of POI in Witcher 3 are useless not gonna lie, especially the ones in the ... Scandinavian territory in the water. Gotta just refocus yourself and move on with the main quest/side quests.

I do the same thing in Shadow of War too. The campaign gets laughable easy when you do more sidequests.
