I just beat King's Quest II: Romancing the Throne (PC) -- 7/10, took me a little over 12 hrs to beat, ended up with 177/185 points.

The release I played is the Netherlands' release of the King's Quest Collection here:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/932229-kings-quest-collection/images/173967
Everything's in English, so if what you get looks like this:
http://www.mobygames.com/images/covers/l/97863-king-s-quest-collection-windows-front-cover.jpg
you'll be fine.

It really wasn't too difficult. I did have to look up a few things, but only because I wasn't using the correct command to accomplish what I was trying to do. It does not support a mouse, so everything is text commands. The "manual" for this release does not have a list of commands, and the help screen isn't all that useful -- I'm not sure what the manuals for other releases contain. None of the necessary "puzzles" had arcane solutions, and the only things that would fall into that category just get you some extra points.

If you're interested, I did a playthrough topic:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/565066-kings-quest-ii-romancing-the-throne/76901592
It's a whopping 8 posts long, so it would be a quick read.

I'm playing VectorMan during breaks from my main game.

If any of the games, like Centipede, don't have an ending, I'll come up with a reasonable score goal to meet.

I want to play Brave Fencer, but PAL regions never got it, and it wasn't a PS1 Classic either :(

Voted for R-Type

And it didn't even pick any of my TG-CD imports...
Do you think I need to play the original (I have it for SMS) before DX? I don't want to miss anything and be completely lost.

I wouldn't be surprised if Delta owns a game with that exact title.

I really don't know about the story, I just like playing them.

Also, you have a TG-CD? What model is it? I'm super jealous, I've been wanting to buy a Turbo Duo RX for years.

Brave Fencer Musashi is good fun. Try to find and play the PS2 version! (At least I think it was a PS2 game)

I was joking about R-Type as a reference to people talking about JRPGs that way. I say the same thing about After Burner II & III.
I originally bought a TG-CD add-on, but it didn't have an AC adapter. Since I couldn't find an AC adapter, I bought a PC Engine Duo-R, modded to play Hu cards from all regions. I do still have the add-on.

Are you talking about the sequel? If so, I've heard pretty consistently bad things about it.

The 2600 titles are score based so you're not really going to 'complete' them. I'm gonna have to go with Musashi too as that's one of my faves. Been meaning to replay it someday.

In regard to the PS2 version it was a different game. That was a 3D action game compared to the PS1 which was 2D, top down (sorta) action RPG. Neither game was bad though. Oh I should add the PS2 title was Musashi Samurai Legend.

I didn't know if it was actually a sequel but yeah, that one. I never heard anything about it. In fact, I didn't even know it existed until I randomly saw it in a Shopko store many years ago.
