And my rebuttal to that would be that it would take a serious suspension of disbelief to imagine a situation where a harem anime occurred where the protagonist had sex with any of the girls, let alone all of them.

And the final episode, that one kid of his that denounced him and refused to reconcile with him in the beginning(the one that's most like him of course) shows up to help defeat that final monster along with the other kids. Cue the opening theme and monologue. End on wacky zany family get together :')

Over the course of the series, his kids slowly help him put aside his varying degrees of dislike towards their mothers when he start to see himself (and the mothers) within them. Remembering the good times when he wasn't working a stressful 80 hour a week office job.
