66 y/o John Goodman spoke to the Sunday Times to DEFEND his former racist co-star, Roseanne Barr and said that she's NOT RACIST after working with her for many years. Although he never had a relationship with her off the show, he said she was a "work friend" as she always made everyone laugh on set despite their political differences.

However, he also dropped the bombshell and confirmed that Roseanne's character will be KILLED OFF!!

He said on her absence from the Conners reboot, "It's an unknown. I guess he'll be mopey and sad because his wife's dead"

The Actor was depressed for a month after the reboot got canned because of Roseanne's remarks but she agreed in May to allow the show to continue without her so that the cast can continue by not having anything to do with the show anymore and not receiving any money from it.

John thanked her and sent her a message when she signed a paper to relinquish her rights but she did NOT RESPOND to him after he sent that and hasn't spoken to her since.

Barr said she's "better" now after switching witch doctors and is on new medication. She has since been on bizarre interviews after she SCREAMED on an interview on Valerie Jarrett and said "I thought the b**** was white, god damn it. I thought the b**** was white"

She was then seen walking at the airport with a Trump 2020 hat and told the media to F*** OFF while trying to get a response.

She also BACKTRACKED claims of her father RAPING her as a child and admits she MADE IT UP. Her strained relationship with him was also used on the show when her character's father died and although didn't specify why her character and him never got along, she came to terms with him at his death and forgave him.

That is not confirmation at all. He literally said it is unknown what the cause of her absence will be. He is speculating that Dan will be mopey and sad.

Although they definitely do have a way to easily kill off Roseanne since she was about to have knee surgery done at the end of the season. Dying from knee surgery would seem a bit odd though I would think. I know all surgeries have risks involved, but knee surgery seems like it would be very low risk for death.

idk, killing the character off is kinda the only logical way to do it (and no, I don't want to hear that stupid DeVito joke again which wasn't all that funny the first time it made its rounds)

Considering that she didn't have a Hollywood career recently (since it really refers to movies), it's either been dead for ages or never existed. iirc, the movies in which she starred or had a major role mostly either lost money or didn't really make it big, which is probably why she didn't have much of a film career at all despite being a major comedian and having a pretty successful show.

With that, the ratings will die too. Other than being an outlier in regard to its political leaning, the gimmicky reboot had absolutely nothing unique going for it. It'll be cancelled in a season without Roseanne. Airing Roseanne without Roseanne, how absolutely stupid can this network be?

Why is this still a thing? The fact some silly idiot was offended means she should get a raise. I'm getting tired of this current climate and wish that all people piss off as many others (except me) as they can. Perhaps if we chase some of these fools out of the country we can finally move forward.

I actually fully believe her when she said she thought she was white and either way that comparison doesn't actually mean it would be meant in a racist way. My mother used to call Bush a Chimpanzee, she swore he looked like one and at least I think Bush is a white guy lol. I think this whole ordeal is just ridiculous. I think Roseanne has always been... well.. she's a tad nutty. :) This is what made her funny. She was always rather edgy and was not a stranger to controversy or drama; the issues with Tom Arnold, the National Anthem debacle, her pregnancy...etc..

That is just her and people loved her show and her for it in the late 80s/90s but in todays outrage culture, and especially with her being a Trump supporter, people were probably reviewing everything she did or said waiting for anything to jump on. To ruin her and cause a scene. I don't think any of these people are actually truly offended I think these people love getting off to watching someones life tank. I think they like seeing other suffer to make themselves feel better.

It's become so easy to ruin people now with little to nothing, companies are so scared of the outrage culture they are dropping relatives of people that say stuff now.

One late night ambien loaded tweet destroyed her legacy... something like that shouldn't be a thing.

Good grief. It sounds like you never even watched it because you think it was a reboot. I hate when people call it a reboot. IT WAS NOT A REBOOT. It was literally called season 10 and carried on right where season 9 ended.

Also, saying it was a gimmick and outlier just further proves you didn't actually watch it. It was good and had high ratings. The ratings were higher than expected actually.

I don't think it will fail without Roseanne at all. I always liked Dan more, and John Goodman can easily hold his own TV show.
