I just want a GTX 1060 or maybe an RX 580 so I can run most games at medium-high settings at 1080p and stay 60 fps or above with the occasional small drop during intense action such as explosions in games.

Man I'm still on my 970s. Thought about going to a 1070 when it came out... and now we're on the 20xx series?? yeesh.

Most likely because cryptocurrency mining with GPUs became unprofitable due to increase in difficulty mining and value of those cryptocurrencies going down.
