As a former mod, I've lost count of the number of moderation disputes I handled where the person who was modded said "But I didn't mean to flame/troll/be offensive." In short, there are times where intent doesn't bear discussion. I've noted the stated intent, certainly, but that doesn't change that the person running the CDPR Twitter was apparently ignorant of how it could be taken. I can understand the average CEman not knowing, but a PR person should be a bit more aware. Well if we can get a straight and honest answer from the one individual using the companys twitter account whether or not he/she meant to be malicious or not I guess well never know. But an apology by the company for the one employees post means at least they knew it was potentially offensive and tried to make amends. The outrage at the apology is just shit though.
