I'm thinking of either watching Shape of Water or The Lord of the Rings trilogy this weekend

I haven't yet seen the former, and I was thinking of giving the latter another shot, since I wasn't feeling it the first time around

Watched The Andre the Giant documentary from HBO the other day. Very good. Andre was legit one of the most unique and interesting people ever.

I watched The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928) last night. Masterpiece! Truly a movie anyone who considers his/herself a true cinephile must watch at some point. 10/10

Just finished I Think We're Alone Now with Peter Dinklage and Elle Fanning.

As far as post apocalyptic movies go it was decent, for the first hour, then it got dumb as hell.

Just watched the original Halloween.

I liked it, but honestly, I felt a little underwhelmed. It's still really well made, but it definitely shows its age. Lots of very blatant horror tropes, which admittedly felt more obvious just because I've seen so many horror films that were undoubtedly inspired by Halloween, but still, could be a little distracting.

Still a good movie though. I just think I've had it a bit over-hyped for me over the years. I much prefer The Thing as far as John Carpenter goes.

Great soundtrack though, and I did really like the camerawork.

Gonna be honest, was a little disappointed about this season of Bojack Horseman.

It was good, but it just felt really disjointed. It felt like they skipped a lot of smaller plot points in favor of doing the more artsy/unique episodes. Which were really well done, but it made the overarching story feel really disjointed.

Also they just straight up dropped Todd's plotline of him figuring out his asexuality. Like, they brought up the dating app gain later, but ultimately didn't really do anything with it. Also, the sex robot plotline was... weird.
