Youd think she was running for President for the amount of media coverage shes getting. I already noted the problem I had with this above, and this kind of thinking is why I believe it is worth while to point this kind of thing out even when the actual decision isn't particularly egregious. That kind of discretion to manage to who and how you get to deliver your message is, IMO, one the reasons we get the politics and politicians that we have, even with a relatively free and open press. Thats why it was good that someone blew up Romney's 47% spot. What he said wasn't actually incorrect in the narrow terms he was speaking about it, but its an obviously gauche way of thinking that he would never divulge in general. Of course I realize the presidency is not a congressional seat and there are lots of other things to be said too but Im not gonna just buy it because she's available for interviews. I mean, maybe the members of said community will see this as a show of support for their community's privacy, but doesn't she already have a pretty significant portion of their support already? Making it public would be the normal way to present herself to the rest of the country. Maybe she's not confident in her ability to answer the communities questions, but that would be a much more fundamental problem that should have cropped up well before now. I wouldn't be surprised if her campaign has decided that her best strategy at this point is to ride the publicity of people talking about her while minimizing the number of people talking to her. If she can ride it out without saying any more stupid things, she has a solid chance of winning, but it's her race to lose if she keeps opening her mouth and inserting her foot. That's why I don't believe for a second that this is "logistics."
