They don't actually. There is a great Ted talks about Gay men sexuality vs straight women's sexuality
and gay men have more in common with straight men than straight women in terms of what they look for in a mate.

For one, gay men and straight men are both more physically driven than women. They have done studies and found gay men don't really care about the wealth of their partner, their status or at least they care the same amount as straight men. They look for visual cues similar to the nice ass, big boobs thing.

This doesn't apply to me at all really. I prefer more average breast sizes, hips that are proportionally average, and in terms of ass, it's only shape that matters to me, not size. The species has no inherent meaning or value to me and I have no desire to ever have children. In fact, any strong desire to have kids is a bit of a deal breaker for me. I couldn't be with someone who definitely does want kids and thinks she might be able to change my mind. That's not going to happen and would doom the relationship because it would become a point of contention.
