It's a mix of bad and mediocre, with occasional moments of cool and rarer moments of funny (the ghost house tour had a few laughs, as did when they returned to the ghost house). Plus Rowan at the end was really neat.

It started good enough to let you have a hope before it went downhill with a few nice moments here and there.

There are some parts that are genuinely funny but for each one there are multiple moments where the humor falls completely flat or the film just doesnt make sense. The whole movie reeks of studio executive meddling and just ends up not being very entertaining.

Melissa McCarthy is so hit and miss. Some of her movies have me laughing my ass off continuously. Others are absolutely excruciating to sit through.

The trailer was all I needed to see to know I'd hate it. I couldn't stand Bridesmaids either. Paul Feig just isn't for me. I just hate how Sony tried to spin the hate into sexism. Okay, I'm sure that was a factor, but it also looked shitty regardless of that and nobody seems to have liked it.
