Maybe its the communitys fault for not being loyal to their neighbors shop and supporting a chain company instead.

A family business will fight it out through tough times to keep their shop open, they know their customers and community. A big chain corporation will uproot and leave the moment they make a few thousand dollars less.

If you hate all the big chains moving in don't fucking shop there. The area I live at has 3 starbucks at one intersection and all of them are there cause the idiots won't go to a local coffee shop that had to close that was close to it.

Doing an urban graffiti tour is pretty culture vulture-y, but Bedford-Stuyvesant is literally less than half black now, and roughly a third white and they are clearly in a gentrified area so I'm not sure where this idea that they're treating the place like a zoo is coming from

you can't really be mad that an area is much less black and much more white than it used to be, and then also claim the people visiting are trying to look at black people. or I guess you can, but I don't think that is internally consistent
