Apparently this bed had some leaking issues around the seal. Well whoever fixed it did a half assed job and instead sealed it and the drain with what seems to be rubber cement. No big deal until it's time to drain it. Well it's time to drain it and...uhh I can't.

So being the genius I am I take a knife and start carefully cutting around the edges to remove the sealant. All is going well. Get the layers of sealant off the drain. Remove the cap, lift it up to screw in the drain kit thing. Uhhohh it's sealed down also. Get out the knife again and start removing the sealant. Find the reason the sealant was applied in the first place. Giant hole in the drain valve. Water starts pouring out. What do? Duct tape of course. Get the hole covered and the water to stop. Spray flex seal all over the drain.

I have about 10 gallons of water in the basement of my 2nd house now. Carpet is ruined.
