What you need to understand about Star Citizen is that the game has been delayed not because of development difficulties but due to expansion of the game's scope at an outrageous scale. And not even in the sense of size (since the game world planned size as launch has been massively downsized) but because they keep adding dumb shit that most players don't even care about like needlessly accurate physics/destruction

I kind of buy in to the "SC has no plan to actually release" conspiracy. Apparently they're at the point where they let whales buy big piles of in game money and even real estate that they'll have an launch, and they've used models like a daily limit on currency buying, you know psychological shit to keep people paying. In any case I'd argue they've already failed their original backers and at some point they changed their TOS to not allow refunds lmao

Mount and Blade 2 is just made by obsessive but nepotistic flightless birds, it will probably be out within 3 years at the current progress

SC may honestly literally never come out in a state where consumer hardware can handle it.
