I couldn't care less if they make me spend more money that I would normally. The excitement of seeing a game you want at - 80% and diving for it is already worth it.

Also applies on the gifting side. I remember folks gifting like 10 different people at once a game that had just gone in flash mode.

hm i wonder how they're gonna deal with all the refunds then? maybe change that system, but then people will get mad at that

I think the "if you refund you can't rebuy the game in a month" someone suggested in the comments will work. After all, the normal use of refunds is giving a game back because you didn't like it.

I love the security of being able to try a game out knowing i can refund it if it turns out to be bad

First they bring back an event-game for their sales, now there are talks of bringing back flash deals... Who is this, and what have they done with the complacent Steam of the last few years!?

Seriously though, excited for the idea of flash deals coming back. Gotta be good for steam too, since it encourages more impulse purchases.

Dunno if it will be quite the same though. When we had flash sales, we also had the ability to buy multiple copies of a game and store them in our inventory for later gifting - can't really do that now. So going to have to hope that the people who want the specific games are online when they are in their flash sale.

They weren't, but it was nice to get games really cheap. The latest sales were really lackluster withthimeir discounts.
